Christiana studied art at Bowdoin College in Maine and at the New York Studio School, and has a Master of Fine Arts in Painting and Drawing from the California College of the Arts. She lives and works in Mill Valley, California.

Statement

Christiana Ferroggiaro uses traditional oil painting and drawing techniques to explore ephemerality in place and society. Drawing inspiration from memory, snapshots, and transient moments in the natural world, her work depicts movements and landscapes simultaneously familiar and unknown.
